This year, too, BMA was represented at ATAM, the annual congress of the Mexican Sugar Technicians' Association, which was held in Córdoba (Veracruz) between 26 and 28 August 2009. Together with EPI Equipos para Ingenios S.A. de C.V., our long-time representatives in Mexico, we presented both our current product portfolio and the latest developments at BMA. The new continuous K3300 centrifugal met with the particular interest of visitors to this very well-attended congress.
Mexico has been an important market for BMA equipment for many years, and events of this kind are certainly the best opportunity for establishing new contacts and strengthening existing ones.
Even though the Mexican sugar industry is facing increasingly fierce international competition, BMA and EPI are optimistic about the future, because the focus on efficient and cost-effective plant operation will mean further investment in BMA equipment.
