Extraction equipment for Japan

In early August 2016, BMA received an order for the supply of extraction equipment to Hokkaido, one of Japan's islands and the country's main beet-growing area.

Delivery by BMA of an extraction tower and a countercurrent cossette mixer to Nippon Beet Sugar Manufacturing, Japan's largest sugar producer, is scheduled for the start of the second quarter of 2017. Bihoro, one of eight beet sugar factories on Hokkaido, is located on the north coast. The state of the existing plant, which is more than 30 years old, called for immediate action. From the start of the 2017/2018 campaign, beet-end operation will once more be continuous and reliable, thanks to the new equipment from BMA. Bihoro processes roughly 3,000 tons of beet per day. Design work on the plant components in Braunschweig has now started.
