With effect from 1 March 2016, BMA Metalltechnik GmbH has purchased the financial assets and expertise of P&K Wasserstrahlschneiden UG (limited liability). BMA Metalltechnik GmbH is a full subsidiary of BMA Braunschweigische Maschinenbauanstalt AG.

Its highly efficient water jet cutting method will expand the BMA Group's vertical integration, which already includes thermal separation, moulding, mechanical processing, welding and surface finishing. Water jet cutting can be used to cut workpieces with a thickness of 160 mm and more without any thermal impact or deformation. The water jet penetrates metals including non-ferrous metals, and a broad range of other materials, from technical ceramics to plastics and to glass. In the company's 2 x 6 m cutting basin, workpieces of very large dimensions can be cut.

Guido Neugebauer, managing director of BMA Metalltechnik GmbH, is delighted: "Just the right machinery and equipment for high-precision vertical cutting!" The expert services of BMA Metalltechnik GmbH will in future be available to all customers of the BMA Group.
